Home Office Organization
This is a home office that is part of the living space of the home. That fact was not one that could be changed so we worked within the bounds to create an office space that was distinct and functional.
Prior to organizing, paper was taking over the desk as is common in every home.
First we sorted and purged the paper and misc. items that had found their way to the desk space.
Second we reoriented the desk and file cabinets and added a file cabinet to set up a filing system for business papers and one for personal items. The file cabinets gave additional horizontal storage space for the printer and inboxes. The hutch was removed to provide a more functional workspace. Everything was positioned within arms reach for a more effective working environment.
